The Kelberman Center

The Kelberman Center is a regional center for excellence for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and related learning challenges. They are dedicated to excellence in service through:

  • prompt evaluation and diagnosis

  • individualized education and services

  • social and life skills enhancement

  • innovative practices

  • training

  • research

Cara Delaney, '08, helped the organization develop a skill-based program for children with autism in the Mohawk Valley, which began in the summer of 2007. She assisted the center with program coordination and research assistance, and assisted in the design and monitoring of a staff training protocol and performance measures. She designed and conducted data collection for research on effective autism programming and presented the results to the center's administrative directors.
